Suspicious Person Call Leads to Warrant Arrest

Heros helping

At about 5:21 pm Thursday evening, a Stanislaus State Police officer got out with a suspicious person in front of Ace Hardware, 3051 Geer Road, Turlock, after he observed the subject next to a bicycle matching the description of one that had been stolen from their campus a few hours prior.

The officer got out with the subject and identified him. After the officer conducted a records check on the subject, he discovered that he had a warrant out for his arrest for theft. The subject was arrested and then released on a citation on that warrant.

The officer was not able to pursue the bicycle theft yet as the victim had not reported it stolen yet and it was not confirmed if it was the stolen bicycle. The subject’s identity is currently unknown.
