At about 11:26 pm Wednesday night, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported weapons offense in progress at 76 DoubleTime, 101 North Tully Road, Turlock. The caller reported that a subject had just taken a handgun from a bush and was walking around the gas station’s parking lot brandishing it. The caller then reported that the subject left walking eastbound on West Main Street.
When officers arrived in the area, they saw a subject matching the description of their suspect walking in the same direction that their caller reported he was walking. The officers got out with that subject and detained him at gunpoint without further incident. He was later identified as Felipe Hernandez, 24, of Bakersfield.
Officers searched Hernandez and the area that he had been in, however, the gun was not located.
Two witnesses were brought to Hernandez and asked if they were able to positively identify him as the suspect. Both witnesses stated that it was 100% him.
Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on unknown charges.
