At about 8:05 pm Sunday night, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious person at Kohl’s, 2751 Countryside Drive, Turlock, where a female, later identified as Natasha Dominguez, 32, of Manteca, had been spotted inside the store by loss prevention who recognized her to be a previous shoplifter.
As officers arrived on scene and began a stakeout from outside the store, information was relayed to them that Dominguez had begun to conceal items.
Officers continued to monitor Dominguez’s movements before ultimately taking her into custody as she attempted to leave the store.
The investigation revealed that Dominguez had attempted to steal over $500 worth of merchandise.
Upon conducting a records check on Dominguez, officers discovered that she was wanted for stealing over $5,000 worth of merchandise from the same store on a previous date and that she had several other larceny warrants out for her arrest from other jurisdictions.
Dominguez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of grand theft and petty theft.
