At about 10:17 pm Sunday night, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported weapons offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 500 block of South Orange Street, Turlock, for a drive-by shooting.
As officers were responding to the scene, one of the residents at the home had an anxiety attack and fainted, so the Turlock Fire Department and American Medical Response were also dispatched. That person ultimately refused to be transported to the hospital.
When officers arrived on scene, they located at least two .45 shell casings laying in the roadway and two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire.
Officers remained on scene for over an hour investigating and processing evidence.
There is currently no suspect information available and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
