At about 6:18 pm Wednesday night, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries in the 900 block of Pioneer Avenue, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located a single vehicle involved, a white BMW sedan, that had struck a 1 year and 9 months old toddler. The toddler was lying unconscious in the middle of the roadway.
The white BMW sedan had two occupants, both of which were uninjured. The toddler sustained major injuries and was airlifted by CALSTAR Air Medical Services to a regional hospital. He was unconscious the entire time, however, was breathing on his own. His current condition is unknown.
The white BMW sedan sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.
