At about 12:23 am Thursday morning, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported prowler at a residence in the 900 block of North Berkeley Avenue, Turlock.
When officers arrived on scene, a juvenile male took off running from them. He was eventually taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
A search incident to arrest revealed that the juvenile was in possession of a controlled substance.
He was arrested and released to an adult on a citation on charges of resisting a peace officer and possession of a controlled substance.
