At about 10:45 pm Saturday night, a Turlock Police officer near 441 South Center Street, Turlock, on-viewed a vehicle doing donuts in the middle of the intersection.
The officer made a traffic stop and got out with the vehicle’s driver, later identified as Fernando Arroyo, 26, of Modesto, and his passenger.
A records check of Arroyo revealed that he was restrained from his girlfriend, who is who was in the vehicle with him.
Officers also noticed signs of intoxication coming from Arroyo. Officers had Arroyo participate in standardized field sobriety tests and below into a preliminary alcohol screening device. As a result of those tests, officers determined that Arroyo was indeed under the influence.
Arroyo was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of reckless driving, violating a domestic violence court order, and driving while intoxicated.
