Storm Knocks Down Two High Voltage Power Lines and Leaves Three Thousand TID Customers Without Power

At about 10:16 am Monday morning, the Turlock Fire Department and Turlock Police Department were dispatched to reported wires down at the intersection of West Minnesota Avenue and Geer Road, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they found two live high voltage power lines lying on West Minnesota Avenue just west of Geer Road.

Crews provided traffic control and scene security until Turlock Irrigation District could respond, secure power, and conduct repairs.

TID crews quickly responded and restored power in less than three hours. An estimated three thousand TID customers were without power at the time.
