At about 4:09 pm Monday afternoon, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with unknown injuries at the intersection of North Golden State Boulevard and West Christoffersen Parkway, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle involved, a white Nissan pickup truck.
The vehicle had one occupant who was uninjured.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.
The driver was traveling southbound on North Golden State Boulevard just north of West Christoffersen Parkway, when for an unknown reason, he veered his vehicle into the fire hydrant, knocked it off its post, and continued driving for about five hundred feet.
