At about 10:00 am Wednesday morning, Turlock Police detectives arrested Alejandro Daniel Valenzuela, 26, of Turlock, after discovering that he was in possession of child pornography.
The prior day, detectives had received a cyber tip reporting that child pornography had been detected on a device. A high tech crimes detective was assigned to the case, and his investigation revealed that Valenzuela was the owner of the device.
Valenzuela was contacted and he voluntarily went to the Turlock Police Department to be interviewed. During the interview, additional devices were discovered. Those devices were processed and additional evidence of the crimes was located.
As a result, Valenzuela was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of child pornograpgy and distributing child pornograpgy.
No local victims were identified during the investigation.
The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to call Detective Tim Redd at 209-664-7325.
