At about 11:48 pm Thursday night, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of West Monte Vista Avenue and Crowell Road, Turlock, was flagged down about a reported vehicle collision with no injuries.
A total of two vehicles were involved, a white Lexus sedan and a white Honda sedan. Both vehicles only had one occupant, both of which were uninjured.
Officers noticed signs of intoxication coming from the driver of the white Lexus sedan, so they ran her through field sobriety tests. The results of those tests led officers to believe that she was indeed intoxicated.
The white Lexus sedan sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away by a family member of its owner. The white Honda sedan also sustained minor damage, but it was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.
The driver of the white Lexus sedan, whose identity is currently unknown, was arrested and released on a citation on charges of driving while intoxicated.
