At about 2:59 am Saturday morning, a Turlock Police officer near Dollar General, 965 Lander Avenue, Turlock, observed a vehicle violating the California Vehicle Code, so the officer made a traffic stop on it.
The officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver and noticed that he was exhibiting signs of impairment.
The officer removed the subject from his vehicle and put him through standardized field sobriety tests. The officer then asked the subject to blow into a preliminary alcohol screening device, which he refused to do. The officer’s suspicions that the subject was impaired were confirmed by the tests.
The subject was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving while intoxicated. His identity is currently unknown. His vehicle was authority towed from the scene.
