At about 11:30 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at Sharkey’s Family Billiards & Pizza, 700 West Hawkeye Avenue, Turlock. An employee had called to report that two drunk subjects were at the business causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.
While an officer was arriving at the scene, he observed both subjects get into separate vehicles and drive off westbound on West Hawkeye Ave. The officer was able to stop one of them but there were no other officers in the immediate area to be able to stop the other one.
The officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle that was stopped, Eduardo Olid, 31, of Hesperia, and had him participate in standardized field sobriety tests. As a result of the tests, the officer was able to determine that Olid was indeed intoxicated.
Olid was arrested and released on a citation on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater. His vehicle was authority towed away from the scene.
