At about 8:50 pm Monday night, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, American Medical Response, and Oak Valley Hospital District Ambulance were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of North Tully Road and Homer Way, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located a single vehicle involved, a navy Chevrolet sedan, which had struck a pedestrian.
The vehicle had at least three, but possibly four occupants, two of which were children, all of whom did not suffer any injuries. The pedestrian that was struck suffered major injuries and was ground transported by Oak Valley Hospital District Ambulance to a local hospital.
The vehicle sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred, however, the damage on the vehicle was on the front passenger side and the pedestrian was in an area that did not have a sidewalk.
The pedestrian had his dog with him, who luckily was missed by the vehicle. The dog was taken inside a nearby business to be cared for.
