Wanted Shoplifter in Possession of Narcotics Arrested During Bicycle Stop

At about 12:13 am Monday morning, a Turlock Police officer in the 1000 block of East Linwood Avenue, Turlock, observed a bicycle vehicle the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the bicyclist and identified him as Isaiah Gomez, 27, of Turlock. The officer then had his dispatcher run Gomez and he returned with two misdemeanor warrants for shoplifting.

A search of Gomez was performed incident to arrest which led to the discovery of narcotics.

Gomez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines as well as his two misdemeanor warrants.
