At about 1:32 am Tuesday morning, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with unknown injuries at the intersection of West Taylor Road and North Golden State Boulevard, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle involved, a red Freightliner truck tractor, which had struck a traffic light pole and a traffic light.

The vehicle had a single occupant who did not suffer any injuries.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.

Officers began investigating and determined that the vehicle was traveling northbound on North Golden State Boulevard and in the process of making a westbound turn onto West Taylor Road, when the turn was taken too wide and the front right side of the vehicle struck the traffic light pole and the traffic light.

City crews responded to conduct repairs to the damaged traffic light.
