On Monday, January 9th, 2023, at 10:41 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Angelus St and Spruce St, Turlock, observed a driver violating the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s three occupants, two of which were juveniles. While doing so, he noticed that the 16-year-old juvenile in the back seat was attempting to conceal something.

When the officer had his dispatcher run the three, he discovered that the two juveniles were both on probation, the 16-year-old for robbery and the other one for grand theft and battery.

The officer removed the three subjects from the vehicle and conducted a probation search, locating a Kahr Arms .40 caliber handgun, likely what the 16-year-old was attempting to conceal.

The 16-year-old was arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on unknown weapon charges.
