Driver flees rollover collision scene leaving one injured Wednesday evening


On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at 7:59 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of East Ave and S Rose St, Turlock.

While officers were responding, they were informed that the driver of one of the involved vehicles had begun running away from the scene through an alleyway. Officers checked the area, however, were unable to locate him.

When crews arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. The first one was a white Nissan Frontier and the second one was a Dodge Ram. The Frontier had overturned and was on its roof.

Only one of the involved parties remained at the scene, the driver of the Frontier. He was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
