On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, at 2:30 pm, Turlock Police investigators arrived at a residence in the 1000 block of E Linwood Ave, Turlock, to conduct a probation search.
A tent was located on the property which was determined to belong to the searchable probationer. Inside the tent, investigators located Kelsey West, 28, of Turlock.
West originally lied to investigators about her identity, however, they quickly figured out who she was and discovered that she had two bench warrants. The first one was a $50,500 felony one out of Modesto for child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death, while the second one was a $7,500 misdemeanor one out of Merced County for possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, eluding a peace officer by vehicle, and driving without a valid driver’s license.
West was arrested and a search of her person incident to arrest led to the discovery of narcotics.
West was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, as well as her warrant.
1000 block of Linwood with tent in yard… How many houses in that block have a tent in the yard? Only one that I can think of and it’s not just one tent. It’s a homeless tent community with criminals coming and going all times of day and night, the neighbors can’t sleep because of the yelling at night, not to mention banging, hammering and crashing sounds. This place is known for dealing drugs, mainly fentanyl, of course you can find other drugs or illegal things to buy here. It’s hard for me to believe police only found one person to arrest at this location. What did they do wait and watch till they thought everyone was gone before moving in?
This is so sad…. i used to talk to this girl on a regular basis…. internet dating as a teen….. she used to be so nice and beautiful I don’t know what happened
You are right. It really is sad. 😢 I wish there was something we could do to stop young people from making bad choices. That’s what usually happens, a young person chooses to date a person that’s not good for them, chooses to drop out of school, chooses to do drugs, chooses to steal something, chooses to hang out with people doing illegal things… that one choice leads to more bad choices and next thing you know they are a homeless, felon, without custody of their kids, dealing drugs and hiding from the cops.
