Man wanted for burglary found passed out on random apartment’s porch early Friday morning

On Friday, February 10th, 2023, at 1:26 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a security check at the Patel Palms Apartments, 1545 N Palm St, Turlock, after an unknown man had been spotted sitting on the caller’s porch and then falling asleep and hitting the ground.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with a man who identified himself as Mario Williams, 39, of Lathrop.

Officers immediately recognized Williams’ name from the be on the lookout log and arrested him.

Williams was wanted from a burglary that had occurred on Monday, January 30th at a residence in the 500 block of E Glenwood Ave. Williams had been seen on surveillance camera video entering an open garage and stealing a Fuji bicycle. The incident was reported to police a week later on Wednesday, February 8th, and Williams was identified by an officer who recognized him the following day.

Williams was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of burglary and grand theft.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
