Man arrested on burglary warrant during traffic stop Wednesday afternoon

On Wednesday, May 24th, 2023, at 4:56 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the 200 block of High St, Turlock, observed a man driving a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Eshaya Eshaya, 26, of Modesto.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Eshaya, he discovered that he had two bench warrants. The first was a $1,000 misdemeanor one out of Stanislaus County for theft, while the second was a $5,000 felony one out of Riverside for three counts of burglary, grand theft, and attempted shoplifting.

Eshaya was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
