Man arrested for shattering business’s glass door after being denied restroom use Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, June 21st, 2023, at 11:12 am, a Turlock Police officer near the 600 block of E Tuolumne Rd, Turlock, noticed and recognized a man wanted in connection to an incident that had occurred a couple hours earlier in the morning, so he got out with him.

The man, Michael Gonzales, 39, of Turlock, had kicked and shattered Les Schwab’s glass door, causing more than $400 in damage.

When questioned, Gonzales stated that he did it because he was upset at the business for not allowing him to use their restroom.

Gonzales was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of vandalism and violation of probation.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
