Man arrested on narcotic and vehicle theft charges after allegedly using victim’s credit card Sunday morning

On Sunday, June 25th, 2023, at 8:32 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious incident at Days Inn, 185 N Tully Rd, Turlock, after it was believed that a man who was wanted by the Modesto Police Department for stealing a vehicle was now using the victim’s credit card to obtain a room.

Officers arrived at the motel and were able to obtain the room number that the man, Kenrick Marean, 32, of Modesto, had been staying in.

Officers then made contact with Marean in his room and found that he was in possession of narcotics.

Marean was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines, possession of a controlled substance, driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner, and buying or receiving a stolen vehicle.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
