Bicyclist assaulted with brick after accidentally crashing into car Tuesday night

On Tuesday, July 25th, 2023, at 11:34 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported aggravated assault that had just occurred in the 2100 block of Geer Rd, Turlock, where a man had allegedly been intentionally run over.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim, a 36-year-old Hispanic man, lying face down in the roadway breathing but unresponsive.

The victim eventually regained consciousness as firefighters and paramedics arrived on scene. He was treated on scene, however, refused transport.

The investigation revealed that the man hadn’t actually been intentionally run over as originally reported.
