Woman arrested after attacking elderly victim unprovoked Friday afternoon

On Friday, July 28th, 2023, at 12:49 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported battery in progress at Subway, 557 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock.

By the time officers arrived in the area, the suspect had already left the business, however, were given a good description of her.

Officers began checking the area and located the suspect near Popeyes. She was contacted and identified as Breanna Mays, 30, of Winton.

Mays was detained and positively identified as the suspect by a witness during an in-field show up.

Through the investigation, officers learned that Mays had attacked an elderly woman unprovoked. The victim suffered visible injuries, however, refused treatment or transport.

Mays was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of elder or dependent adult abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
