Small Homeless Encampment Cleaned Up and Man Arrested on Felony Warrant

At about 9:20pm Monday night, Officer Mulhim observed and got out with a homeless encampment in violation of the Turlock Municipal Code just north of the Carl’s Jr., in the 200 block of N. Walnut Road.

Three subjects were contacted and identified, including Michael Francis, 38, of Denair.

When Mulhim had his dispatcher run the three, he discovered that Francis had a $100,500 felony bench warrant for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury and violation of post release community supervision.

Francis was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant.

The other two subjects were advised to clean up their encampment and leave the area.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
