Drunk Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Tree

At about 10:35pm on Thursday, October 5th, Turlock Police responded to a vehicle collision in the 1600 block of Countryside Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a vehicle into a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, Faith Arteaga, 21, of Turlock, was uninjured.

While speaking with Arteaga, officers noticed that she was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence. Officers also located an open alcohol container on the front passenger-side floorboard.

Arteaga was put through standardized field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested.

Arteaga was released to a sober friend on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her vehicle was also impounded and she was issued a driver’s license suspension order.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
