Drunk CSU Stanislaus Assistant Professor Arrested After Hit and Run Incident Involving Roundabout

At about 11:03pm Friday night, Turlock Police responded to a hit and run that had just occurred at W. Tuolumne Road and Oxford Avenue, involving a vehicle that had gone up onto the roundabout, striking a bush and sign.

While officers were enroute, they were advised that the vehicle was being followed by a witness.

The witness reported that the vehicle pulled into the driveway of a residence in the 1000 block of Gettysburg Street, where it was determined to be registered at.

Officer Khounlivong arrived on scene and located the vehicle, stopping it.

Inside of it, he contacted Jori Lindley, 39, of Turlock.

Lindley displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence and was arrested.

Lindley was issued a driver’s license suspension order and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of driving under the influence, while her vehicle was impounded.

Turlock City News later learned that Lindley is an Assistant Professor of English, teaching at Stanislaus State University, according to her website. She is also an advisor for the TESOL programs and Liberal Studies majors.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
