Emanuel Medical Center is restricting visitors following a threatening phone call. Public safety personnel advised that the hospital had received a threat involving an Uzi from a phone call and was going into lockdown.

Beginning at 10 a.m., the Downtown Turlock 4th of July Parade will be making its way through Main Street, between East Canal Drive and Market Street, Broadway between A Street and Orchard Street, and First Street between A Street and Orchard Street. These streets will be closed during the parade for safety.

Turlock police have revealed the identity of the male homicide victim from the reported shooting on Jun. 15. As the investigation into the homicide continues, police have revealed Joga Shergill, 54 of Turlock, as the victim in the incident.
Only limited details are available through an update by the Turlock Police Department of a reported possible shooting, on Lander Avenue by Glenwood Avenue, and that involved a deceased man. The Turlock Police Department are now calling the death a homicide and remains under investigation.
