Emanuel Medical Center is restricting visitors following a threatening phone call. Public safety personnel advised that the hospital had received a threat involving an Uzi from a phone call and was going into lockdown.

According a Charter Spectrum representative, the outage occurred at approximately 2:28 p.m.

Annual 4th of July Parade Downtown and Fireworks Show at University Offering Full Day of Celebration

The 4th of July in Turlock is always something to celebrate with a thrilling annual parade that attracts thousands and a stellar fireworks show that closes out the night. Beginning at 10 a.m., the Downtown Turlock 4th of July Parade will be making its way through Main Street, between East Canal Drive and Market Street, Broadway between A Street and Orchard Street, and First Street between A Street and Orchard Street. These streets will be closed during the parade for safety.

Turlock firefighters and police officers have responded to Hotel Drive for a report of a gas leak.

The public safety personnel responded to the the call which came in around 10:30 a.m.

Police Identify Lander and Glenwood Homicide Victim

Turlock police have revealed the identity of the male homicide victim from the reported shooting on Jun. 15. As the investigation into the homicide continues, police have revealed Joga Shergill, 54 of Turlock, as the victim in the incident.

Shooting Update: Deceased Man Found with Apparent Gunshot Wound Investigated as Homicide

Only limited details are available through an update by the Turlock Police Department of a reported possible shooting, on Lander Avenue by Glenwood Avenue, and that involved a deceased man. The Turlock Police Department are now calling the death a homicide and remains under investigation.

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a possible shooting at the corner of Lander Avenue and West Glenwood Avenue. Turlock police officers responded to the call at approximately 4:40 a.m. 

Fire Advisory: Structure Fire on Davis Street

Turlock firefighters and police have responded to a call of a structure fire. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 9:30 p.m. to the 200 block of Davis Street.
