CSU Stanislaus Professor Appointed to State Council on Developmental Disabilities

Dr. Kilolo Brodie, an associate professor at California State University, Stanislaus has been appointed to serve on Area Board VI of California State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. Brodie is an associate professor in the Master of Social Work program, a member of the National Down Syndrome Congress, and currently serves on the CSU Stanislaus Affirmative Action and Diversity Committee.

City employees gathered upstairs at City Hall Thursday, meeting for their annual Health Benefits Fair. Employees came to the fair to learn about their health, and opportunities they have to stay fit. The fair takes place during the city’s open enrollment period, so that employees wer able to hear more information about their healthcare while signing up. Health representatives were available for employees to have one-on-one contact.

The City of Turlock and Turlock Police Department are moving forward with their plan to hire multiple police officer trainees to fill vacant positions in the department. Turlock Police Department has lost five officers to different agencies in just over a year, and Turlock City Council voted April 8 to move forward with trainee hires that will be put through the police academy.
