Signs posted in the parking lot on Colorado Avenue, across the street from Turlock High School, make those in the parking lot consent to searches. The signs posted say that by entering the area, vehicles are subject to search by school officials or law enforcement for reasonable suspicion.

Adjacent to Canal Drive, near the Golden State Boulevard intersection, is a small one way path that is mainly used as parking in front of Souza Propane. The path also gives access to the Taco Bus and other food trucks in the same area, off Stanislaus Street.

Covenant Village of Turlock staff and residents welcomed Turlock’s first responders to a its second annual First Responders Breakfast on Friday. The breakfast is the Covenant Village community’s way of saying thank you to the Turlock Police and Fire departments for their continued support throughout the year.

Around Turlock – February 15

With the historic elm trees removed on the corner of Canal Drive and Colorado Avenue, the lawn in front of the Turlock Unified School District offices remain bare. The trees will eventually be replaced by either Northern Red Oak and the October Glory Red Maple trees, so keep the historic Turlock look.

The traffic signals at the intersection of Fosberg Road and Christoffersen Parkway are up, but not yet operational. Work at the intersection continues, as curbs and gutters are being worked on as well. Signs in the area say work is expected to continued into April.

Some in the parking lot of Chevron in Monte Vista Crossings may have noticed a small hazard. Cones and floor mats were blocking a small portion of the parking lot, leaving cars to drive around.
