Turlock High School Hosts Japanese Students

A group of 38 sophomore students from Kyoto Gakuen High School in Japan spent several days in Turlock as guests of Turlock High School’s Japanese Exchange Program. Japanese students have been visiting THS annually for the past 25 years and each year they take home positive experiences learning about the English language and American culture.

Want to learn a new language? The Stanislaus County Library has an app for that. The Stanislaus County Library, which includes the Turlock branch, will now offer a free, online language learning system, known as Mango Languages, with features lessons in more than 60 languages to choose from.

Scholars Honored at CSU Stanislaus

A group of 43 California State University, Stanislaus students were honored as this year’s recipients of the Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship during an on-campus luncheon Monday. Rogers Scholars receive $3,000 for undergrad students and $3,500 students in teaching credential programs at CSU Stanislaus.
