The signs for the old Goodwill located in the Turlock Town Center were taken down on Tuesday, most likely in anticipation of a new tenant. In May, TurlockCityNews.com announced that there could be a new anchor tenant coming into the Turlock Town Center, where Sears and the adjacent Goodwill stood.

Turlockers with lifted trucks no longer have to worry about clearance when going through the drive-thru at Starbucks located at 3000 Geer Rd. The drive-thru clearance bar, which used to have a maximum height clearance of 9 feet, has been pushed aside.

Around Turlock – July 27

In preparation of some roadwork on Walnut Road between Monte Vista Avenue and Christoffersen Parkway, Walnut Road was coned off on Sunday. Many of the reflectors and lane lines have been removed from the road, with new lines and reflectors expected to come.

This empty building, located at 2802 Monte Vista Ave., has held several business, including Mr. Slice, which sold pizza by the slice. Mr. Slice closed in 2008 and other businesses have come and gone filling the space since.

The 2014 California State University, Stanislaus Warrior Women’s Youth Soccer Camp wrapped up Thursday with an exciting World Cup Tournament. The camp provided dozens of future soccer stars ages 5 to 13 with a fun learning experience and excellent coaching from Warriors players Lauren Thornton, Nichole Donald, Karli Nestler, Nicole Larson and Women’s Assistant Coach Jessica Schob.
