California State University, Stanislaus has announced that parking permits will now be available for purchase online beginning July 20. Previously, parking permits were only available for purchase in the Cashier’s Office on campus, which often required a long wait in line.
The Turlock Police Department is hosting Citizens Police Academy, beginning in September, to provide the public with information and resources within the police department. The program will consist of a series of eleven classes and discussions held once a week, on Thursday evenings, typically from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 10. There is no cost to anyone who enrolls.
The Turlock Fire Department is working with the American Safety Institute to host a community CPR training class. The class will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Aug. 22 and it is open to the public. The class will focus on adult and child/infant CPR/AED training.
The California State University, Stanislaus continues to make headlines across the nation, this time taking the top spot for value among all public universities in the nation. Money magazine named CSU Stanislaus the No. 1 public university in the nation for value in its recent rankings which are “based solely on value-added grades for graduation rates, earnings and student loan repayment, eliminating schools with a negative grade in any of those areas or a graduation rate below 50 percent.”
