At about 7:16pm Thursday, Turlock Police and University Police responded to an indecent exposure at W. Monte Vista Avenue and Dels Lane.

The caller reported a man walking toward the back of a building at Stanislaus State, holding his genitals.

Officer Young arrived in the area and was flagged down by a bystander, who told him the man was in the bushes nearby.

After continuing to check the area, Young located Adrian Lopez, 32 of Turlock, standing next to an apartment window, wearing a thong and touching himself.

Lopez admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine and was clearly unable to care for himself, so Young arrested him.

No one was available to sign a citizen’s arrest for indecent exposure, so Young lectured Lopez about what could have happened to him had there been a cooperative victim. That would have included having to register as a sex offender.

Lopez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for disorderly conduct.
