At night, it’s hard to miss the large tractor sign at Garton Tractor, Inc. while it’s lit up. The large sign can be seen by all traveling towards the Golden State Boulevard and Tuolumne Road intersection.
While many are aware of the high cost of a parking permit at California State University, Stanislaus, some may not know there are designated parking passes for motorcycles. Motorcycle passes are significantly cheaper than normal parking passes, costing only $45 per semester, as opposed to $180.
Typically, traffic around Turlock schools can be a little hectic with long lines of parents dropping off their students. To help alleviate some of the problem, signs along Georgetown Avenue, in front of Brown Elementary School, prohibit u-turns.
Downtown Turlock is home to many signs that have hung on buildings for years, and show their age. One very distinct sign is the Al’s Billiards neon sign hanging outside the business, located at 128 S. Center St.

The new Bank of America ATM in the Valley View Center on Geer Road is now open. The ATM was installed in December to much excitement, as most Bank of America customers were required to go Downtown Turlock to visit an ATM.
Just in time for the warmer weather around Turlock, Round Table Pizza, located at 2650 Geer Road, remodeled their patio. Large cement planters used to surround the patio at Round Table, but those have been removed and replaced with a metal fence.
The traffic signals at the Fulkerth Road and Dianne Drive intersection are finally fully operational. The intersection has been under construction for several months while contractors realigned Dianne and Auto Mall drives.
