Armed Suspect Attempts to Rob Wendy’s Drive-Thru

A suspect came away empty handed after attempting to rob a Turlock Wendy’s drive-thru window shortly after midnight on Nov. 16.

The suspect approached the drive-thru window of the Wendy’s at 2395 Geer Rd. on foot while a customer was attempting to get their order and demanded cash, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

According to Lewis, the suspect told employees in the window that he had a gun.

Officers responded at approximately 12:21 a.m., but the suspect had already fled the area when they arrived, said Lewis.

The suspect was unable to get away with any cash, said Lewis.

Police are currently looking for the suspect, who is described as an Hispanic male in his 20s with a light complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches. He was seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect was last seen traveling westbound on Tuolumne Road.
