Cara Hallam|

Three teenagers were held at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Turlock Taco Bell early Sunday morning while a man demanded money from them.

Turlock Police officers responded to the Taco Bell parking lot located at 2050 W. Main St. after receiving a call regarding a holdup involving three teenagers.

The three teens – a male minor, an 18-year-old female, and an 18-year-old male – were sitting inside their vehicle when an unknown black male, 18-25 years old, approached them.

After making small talk with one of the teenagers, the suspect pulled out a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at one of the victims while demanding money. The female victim gave the suspect the few dollars that she had.

The suspect then took off running, heading eastbound through the parking lot. Although the responding officers were unable to find the suspect, the victims described him as having an Afro and a goatee, being 5’8” to 5’10”, and approximately 130 lbs.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Officer Lee Medlin at (209) 668-5500 ext. 6760.
