Turlock Fire and American Medical Response were dispatched to the 800 block of Vermont for a three year old not breathing on Friday, November 5th at 1:07am. Turlock Police Officer Stapler was close and responded as well.
Turlock Police report that the child had fallen asleep with her father on the couch in the living room. At some point the father rolled over onto the child. The mother came into the room and pulled the child out from under the father. The child was not breathing.
Officer Stapler began CPR until Fire and AMR arrived. The child was transported and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
No arrest has been reported and appears that this may have been an accident. The Turlock Police report does list the incident as a death investigation though.
