At about 11:08pm Tuesday night, Turlock Police Officer Mulhim got out with an occupied suspicious vehicle at Nowlin Court and Paulson Road.

Mulhim had recognized the vehicle from a vandalism he had handled the prior night, and also recognized its occupant as his suspect who was wanted for the incident, John Alves, 40, of Turlock.

The vandalism had occurred at the 7-Eleven in the 2500 block of Geer Road.

Alves was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of vandalism and violation of probation.
