A suspect attempting to flee from an auto burglary was ultimately apprehended after being involved in a traffic collision early on Thursday morning.

Nathaniel Millsap, 27, was arrested for auto burglary after allegedly being found with stolen property.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Turlock police received a report of a suspicious suspect wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt in a pickup that had a window broken, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of Crowell Road, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Shortly after, officers responded to the intersection of Crowell and Tuolumne roads on the report of a traffic collision.

At the scene they contacted Millsap and allegedly found the stolen property in his vehicle, said Lewis.

Millsap was subsequently arrested and the alleged stolen property was returned to the owner.
