The Turlock Rural Fire Department is working on a fire in a field on the 2700 block of East Linwood Avenue.
The fire, a two acre brush fire was reported Saturday morning and as of 11 a.m., Turlock Rural Fire Department is still on scene.
Turlock Rural Fire Department has largely contained the fire, but previous reports said the brush fire threatened surrounding structures.
Motorists in the area should be advised as smoke is rolling through the road and fire engines have brought a portion of East Linwood down to one lane.
The cause is unknown at this time.
