Turlock police officers have responded to Columbia Avenue and taped off a crime scene.
At around 7 p.m., the Turlock Police Department responded to the 800 block of Columbia Avenue for a call of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department rerouted a helicopter heading toward a Modesto shooting to Turlock’s incident. It’s circling the area in what could be a perimeter search.
A suspect is at large, according to police.
The crime scene has been taped off and is currently being investigated.
Columbia Avenue is blocked off at the scene on the 800 block.
Turlock Police Department has not officially released any information at this time.
