Starbucks stores nationwide, including in Turlock, will be open as usual after experiencing a register outage that caused the closure of most of its locations.

Last night, the corporation acknowledged the outage and stated, "We are actively working to resolve the outage. Our stores that have not already closed for the evening are closing early."

The outage was caused by an internal failure during a daily system refresh.

Starbucks clarified that the outage was an internal issue and was not the result of an external breach.

"We apologize to our customers for this inconvenience," stated the Starbucks corporation through a news release.
