Alleged drunk driver arrested on warrant for various violent felonies early Thursday morning

On Thursday, April 28th, 2022, at 2:43 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported dangerous driver at QuikStop, 1260 Geer Rd, Turlock, after a vehicle had pulled into the business after being seen braking for no reason, weaving in its lane, and almost striking the curb several times.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the vehicle’s driver, Aaron Sheridan, 37, of Sonora, who told them that he was having trouble with his vehicle. Officers asked Sheridan to participate in a single standardized field sobriety test, which he agreed to. Based on that one test, officers determined that Sheridan was not under the influence.

Officers had their dispatcher run Sheridan, and he returned with a felony warrant out of Santa Barbara County for robbery, burglary, making criminal threats, kidnapping, and auto theft.

Sheridan was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant, awaiting extradition back to Santa Barbara County.
