On Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022, at 4:06 pm, the Turlock Fire Department and Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigations Unit were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in the 1000 block of Serr Dr, Turlock.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found an Amazon delivery van with an engine compartment fire not threatening any nearby exposures.
Firefighters quickly began fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control within about four minutes of their arrival, completely extinguishing it just two minutes later.
It’s unclear how many packages were in the van at the time of the fire, however, the Turlock Fire Department said in a statement that many were salvaged.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
