An ammonia leak was reported at about 3:00pm on Thursday afternoon causing people in the area to have breathing difficulties.
The ammonia was found to be coming from an agricultural tank that began to leak its fertilizer.
People at Pedretti park had reported breathing difficulties and were ordered to evacuate the park. A church building, that also operates a day care inside, was near the spill and people inside were ordered to stay inside.
The leak was discovered and the hazardous PH level caused by the leak was neutralized by water as TID flushed the contaminants through the canal.
No reported illnesses were reported from the incident.
