The Gemperle Fields at the Turlock Regional Sports Complex were completed in 2002 and has been the host to many Turlock Youth Soccer Association games and state tournaments.
The site is also now the practice place for some players looking to take the next step into professional soccer.
The San Jose Earthquakes’ Player Development League team will practice at the complex between 8 a.m. and noon three days a week.
The PDL team’s first home game of the season is May 31, against the OC Blues Strikers FC at 7 p.m. at the California State University, Stanislaus Warrior Stadium.
