Driving along Monte Vista Avenue, some may question the extra label on road signs reading “University Way.”
The University Way moniker was adopted by the Turlock City Council in 2007 and new signs were put up that same year.
University Way only stands as an honorary street name, and the street remains called Monte Vista Avenue. But California State University, Stanislaus now dons the address of One University Circle, rather than 801 Monte Vista Ave.
