Since all permit work for the Monte Vista Crossings expansion was completed in early-May, the buildings that will house Dick’s Sporting Goods and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store are starting to take shape.
Turlock Assistant to the City Manager for Housing and Economic Development Maryn Pitt has now confirmed that the two anchor stores are expected to open in October. That’s a more firm date than the “before Christmas” timeframe earlier announced.
In addition to Dick’s and Jo-Ann’s, the expansion has been confirmed to include the following: a Tilly’s surf and skate apparel store; a Kirkland’s home décor store; a Maurice’s women’s clothing shop; a Justice and Brothers tween apparel location; and, a factory-owned Sprint cellphone shop. The expansion will also include six currently unknown stores and a restaurant. All of those stores are expected to open shortly after the two anchors, Pitt said.
